I came home from work and had a message from this woman stating that I had to call this number and gave me this phone number to call back on. something about being a state and legal problem and I had to use this case number she gave me. Then she said I had to call back before they started legal action. My boss told me if if was legal action, they would contact me by mail and not leave a message on the phone. Apparently this is a scam, so i just didn't call it back. She didn't give a company or even an lawyers name. if it was a legal situation, they would of at least given the name of the lawyer or attorneys office name.
good evening I am emailing you due to receiving the same phone call today. The lady never left her name. I was wondering if you could inform me of the ways to report this company. Thanks in advance.
i received a call from the company's collection agency LFGLLC Financial Group stating that a case had been filed against me in the county I live in for fraud against my SSN and the my license would be suspended for non payment.
Total scam. There is no case. Fraud cases are handled by the local DA and law enforcement. No one can suspend your license except a judge or the DMV . Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you can't be arrested for it. Fraud against your SS# is a claim this group always makes when they are trying to scare someone into paying them something. Don't fall for it. It's a stupid claim. How can a SS# commit fraud? How can anyone commit "fraud" against an SS#.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a DIME until the debt is validated.
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.
If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
Received a call from Joann Smith regarding a fraud case that is filed against me from Oracle Group LLC. She said that I have been served. I was curious so I called and gave her the case number and fraud number and my number that she called... Then she had the nerve to ask, "What can I do for you" I told her that she can't do nothing for me and don't ever call my number with illegal privacy accusations and serve me over the phone?! She began to cut off every word I said by saying the phone is static and your cutting off! I told her , "You hear every word coming out of my mouth" and she hung up. SCAM!!!!!
I got a call from an amanda stating I was having legal actions taken against me for a bank. She said we needed to set up a payment method on how to recover the amount owed. When I did not call her back , a man from an unknown number left a message saying he was the officer on duty to come to my work and pick me up but I had to call "amanda" back. It was weird that he said I had a reassurance for my subpoena but then never came. I decided to call her back on that number and she gave me a time to pay her by or I would get picked up from my work. I tried calling several times at one point and all I got was the voicemail. If this is a scam please help!!!!
