I came home from work and had a message from this woman stating that I had to call this number and gave me this phone number to call back on. something about being a state and legal problem and I had to use this case number she gave me. Then she said I had to call back before they started legal action. My boss told me if if was legal action, they would contact me by mail and not leave a message on the phone. Apparently this is a scam, so i just didn't call it back. She didn't give a company or even an lawyers name. if it was a legal situation, they would of at least given the name of the lawyer or attorneys office name.
It's probably too late to expect the person posting the immediate parent post to see this, but I would suggest that anyone wanting to say the same thing here should read:

I don't believe it either. How could you not be aware that there is a judgment filed against you? If there was some sort of judgment against you, the plaintiff would have sent you a copy of the judgment and most likely would have taken steps to enforce it. I don't think the plaintiff would wait until you tried to buy a house to enforce a judgment.
By the way, since there's a recorded judgment against you, how about telling us
1. Name of Plaintiff
2. Name of Defendant
3. Where this "judgement" was filed.
4. County clerk/recorder's document number.
That way, we can all see for ourselves how truthful you've been with this silly blurb of yours.
But of course, this is all a shill.
Who, exactly, do you think you're fooling with this nonsense?
This is basically a debt scam. You may or may not owe money on a loan, but only public prosecutors file fraud charges. Debt collectors have no powers of prosecution and no influence on the criminal justice system. There's no such thing as a fraud on your social security number. That's just utter nonsense. Being in debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for ordinary civil debt. Lawyers cannot take "judgments" only courts can do that and only after a hearing in which all parties are given a chance to make their case. No one is going to "fine" you anything. Just more nonsense meant to scare you. What this person is trying to do is basically scare you in to paying them something.
This Joanne Smith or whatever she's calling herself now has been doing this sort of scamming for some time. Don't fall for it and don't let her or anyone else push you around when it comes to debt collection.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course, they won't do this, so simply block their calls and ignore them. Do not return their calls or volunteer information or pay them any money or agree too.
If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them.
I have filed a complaint with the federal trade commission and anybody and everybody I could today! Joanne smith or whoever you are DONT call my phone again!!
