I was on hold on another call when this # clicked in on call waiting. All it said was New York. I didn't pick it up, but did a search because I thought it might be a business call. This is how I found this site. I am wondering what connection this has with Key Bank. Did Key Bank have information stolen that this person is using?
Received a call, am at work and did not answer. No voicemail left.
I have a checking acct. with Key Bank that I have been TRYING to open for the last month, however they have not been able to get ANYthing right. Not sure if it was Key Bank or some scammer since no voicemail or anything was left.
went on key website and called the 800 # saying I received calls from this # and they verified it was their debit card fraud # that they didnt see any concern on my account and that it was a customer service call because I had called earlier....still sounds crazy though but I feel better

Caller leaves no voicemail message and no Caller ID Name appears. When I called the number back, I heard a recorded greeting "Thank you for calling Key." This recorded greeting is heard WHILE THE PHONE IS STILL RINGING, i.e., before my call is answered. When my call is answered I hear the message: "Thank you for calling the Key Bank Telephone Banking Department." The message goes on to state their hours are "7 AM to midnight" and they provide a different number to call if your card has been lost or stolen. Then they ask the caller to leave a voice message. My Key acct is fairly new. But like most prudent folks these days, I'm still very leary about unsolicited Emails or phone calls claiming to be from MY BANK. With illegitimate Phishing scams one always hears banks saying "We never make such calls to our customers." When I did a reverse number look-up on Verizon website, it showed it was an UNPUBLISHED Verizon Land-based PHONE NUMBER located in Buffalo, NY. Why would Key Bank have an unpublished number for what they call "the Key Bank Telephone Banking Department" for dealing with their customers? And why would Key Bank provide their identity when the number is called back, if they are unwilling to identify themselves on a "Caller ID" unit? It just sounds like a PHISHING scenario to me. It doesn't feel right because it doesn't make sense. I have no issues with the bank.
