I was on hold on another call when this # clicked in on call waiting. All it said was New York. I didn't pick it up, but did a search because I thought it might be a business call. This is how I found this site. I am wondering what connection this has with Key Bank. Did Key Bank have information stolen that this person is using?
I am a college student and a telemarketer for Key Bank. This is one of the highest paying jobs in Buffalo, Ny for a college student right now. We don't want to bother people, but when you hang up on us or say that the person is not there..WE ARE REQUIRED TO CALL BACK because we weren't able to get ahold with the person or their decision on the call!
Simply tell us to put you on OUR DNL,which is DIFFERENT from the national one for some reason, and it will take 30 DAYS for the request to go through.
We, the telemarketers have NO CONTROL over the DNL regulations or making the calls. One thing I can say is that we are legit, we have all of our clients information & if we don't, it's because they are NOT CLIENTS & we are calling on a potential client campaign.
The reason why we call out of New York to places like Indiana, Washington & Ohio is because we encourage potential clients to open up accounts at their LOCAL BRANCHES, not branches in New York. New York is just where the call center is located. We have programs on our databases which allow us to open up accounts and then distribute them to the person's nearest branch.
I understand this explanation doesn't clean up the fact that you are still bothered with us, but maybe your irritation will decrease with the understanding of our intentions.
Please remember that we are only doing our jobs just like you all have your own jobs. This is all I have to pay my bills and I appreciate it. Please don't yell & scream at us, we are just the workers.
I don't think these calls are really coming from Key. This number keeps calling my house and hanging up when machine answers. I'm on Do Not Call list. I called the number back and someone who answered said they were from Key. I requested removal from their solicitation list. Lady said would require full name, phone number and SSN. Said no way am I giving out that information. Called my local branch. They say that is not a call from them because they never ask for that information over the phone. THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM. Do not give them information.
