just got a call from the 716-923-7405 number. The lady was very polite but did not identify herself. Stated someone with my last name had used me as a reference. I didnt know the person. She gave me the name of his business. What she didnt know is I live in a "one horse" town and I know all the businesses. This one doesnt exist. She was still polite and stated she would have to call the guy back to confirm.
I work in a lawyer's office and received a phone call from a client today who was very concerned that a law firm in Buffalo, NY had her/his ssn and address. The Buffalo caller made the conversation sound as if it was a fraud case that they were working on. The Buffalo caller stated he was trying to serve a subpeona. Be alert! Don't give out any information if you do not know who you are talking too. Remember,they can give you false information. I was talking to our client and typed in the phone number she/he gave me while we were on the phone and this site came up. I was able to help her. Be careful with your information!
Same story. A lady called saying she was a paralegal with some law firm and that (insert name) had serious allegations against them and wanted me to call back. She provided a case number and a court name.
the exact same thing keeps happening to me. Someone calls and asks for my son. When I tell them I do not know this person they ask for me by name. I also tell them I do not know this person and that they have a wrong number. This last time she said "well I know _ _ _ _ _ lives there I will keep calling back.
Other times it has been an attorney's office asking for my son.
I received a phone call about 2 months ago from this number and the first time the caller didnt say anything. the second time, he had the number blocked and it said "unavailable". it was a black male who didnt ask for anyone or say anything about who he was or where he was calling from, he just made VERY VULGAR remarks. he continued to call 3 or 4 times that day, and luckily i haven't heard anything since. something seriously needs to be done to this person!
