Have received calls from this number on several occasion say that they are with Windows. THIS IS A SCAM. They try to gain remote access of your computer to hack your information. They tell you that they are getting error reports from your computer and need remote access to fix it. DON'T DO IT. Windows is a Microsoft product and; after a chat with Microsoft corporate; understand they Microsoft will NEVER INITIATE contact with you unless you specifically request contact. BLOCK THIS NUMBER! Also they have called back within minutes with a call that has no caller ID. It's the same demons.
I answered.. slight delay in voice response suggests speed dialer. Never good. Asian guy says his name is Jerry and he's with Microsoft. There's a problem with my computer and he needs access. I toyed with him for a while until it stopped being fun and then I asked him for my IP address. Click!
Two different males with heavy Indian accents. First one got me to believe it was a legit call and then turned it over to his tech specialist to fix the problem. He called my cell phone saying he was from Microsoft support services and that I was showing a huge list of errors and warnings and my computer was under threat. He knew my Microsoft license ID number and showed that to me on my computer. They also knew my email address. I was very skeptical until they showed me the ID on my computer and included my email address, which seemed scary, but was included as part of my MS registration. They used a remote access to gain control of my mouse to show me the errors. They showed that I had 4093 errors, etc and showed I had some stopped applications. Then he ran a scan of msconfig on my computer. Which at first was white text on black then changed to red text on black. That was when he pulled up NOTES and typed in the following saying how they could fix the problems. Below is what he typed in:

He tried to convince me to buy their support and services and they would fix it right now. I told them I would buy the software from Wal-Mart and fix it. He then tried to convince me it would cost an additional $50 for tech services after I took in my computer. I told him I had tech savvy friends who could fix it. If he would give me his phone number, I could call him back if we still had problems. HE HUNG UP!
I then called my tech savvy friend and he recommended to check out the phone number they had called me from as well as go to malwarebytes.org to download their free trial to check for damage and to run all virus software. This is all very scary.
