Have received calls from this number on several occasion say that they are with Windows. THIS IS A SCAM. They try to gain remote access of your computer to hack your information. They tell you that they are getting error reports from your computer and need remote access to fix it. DON'T DO IT. Windows is a Microsoft product and; after a chat with Microsoft corporate; understand they Microsoft will NEVER INITIATE contact with you unless you specifically request contact. BLOCK THIS NUMBER! Also they have called back within minutes with a call that has no caller ID. It's the same demons.
I too have been getting calls from 718-658-7748 almost daily or several times a week. I don't always answer. Its my understanding, these are 'SPOOFED' calls coming from counties like India, but also Tajikistan, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, and Russia to name a few others. The F.B.I. and local police departments take these type of calls serious. Others have reported these type of calls to their local police departments, television stations, FCC, and the Federal Trade Commission. If you think you may have fallen victim to a telephone-based scam or you received a call from a suspected scammer, you can contact your local police department Financial & Cyber Crimes Unit, the FBI D.C. Field Office at (202) 278-2000, or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).
I received a call today from 718-658-7748. I called the Washington, D.C. FBI field office and I spoke with an agent. She didn't seem to care and referred me to the Federal Trade Commission. The DC OAG office referred me to the FCC. Everybody seem to be passing the buck. U.S. citizens have to endure these harassing or annoying phone calls regardless of being on the 'Do Not Call List'. Our representatives in Congress doesn't seem to care either. I wish Verizon would come up with a device that could tell these are scam numbers and wouldn't allow them through.LOL
Call the white house and ask for Obama. He could perhaps help you.
U r stupid enough to give your credit card number to a total stranger without verifying his credentials.
Send me a bill, love it ! I never answer but if I did I'd ask him i for some free samples of viagra and cialis then, in all seriousness ask him for advice about the proper administration and use of the pills for a woman (I am and sound like a senior female)
same thing different day. I'll never know who they are bc I never answer the phone, but I thank those of you who did the dirty work in dealing with them and from some of you for the laughs.
