Have received calls from this number on several occasion say that they are with Windows. THIS IS A SCAM. They try to gain remote access of your computer to hack your information. They tell you that they are getting error reports from your computer and need remote access to fix it. DON'T DO IT. Windows is a Microsoft product and; after a chat with Microsoft corporate; understand they Microsoft will NEVER INITIATE contact with you unless you specifically request contact. BLOCK THIS NUMBER! Also they have called back within minutes with a call that has no caller ID. It's the same demons.
Please call your Congress member and Senator (202-224-3121) to complain about SPOOFING and robo calls. There's legislation pending in Congress to make telephone companies address this major problem. The people that's calling harassing Americans from other countries using 'SPOOFED' numbers, I hope they and their families will die a horrible death from cancer. They need to get a life...
got a call from this number asking for me by name. Then they hung up. I called back and got the "this number is not in service". Could not determine any accent in the caller's voice
I was tired of getting calls from this spoofed telephone number several times a day. I contacted Verizon to see if I had call blocking include in my plan. I did have call blocking and I block 718-658-7748. I haven't received anymore calls from them this number in 2 days since blocking this telephone number. I have a non published number and I don't get many telemarketers calling me. I still say call you members of Congress to complain about these spoofed annoying numbers coming from India and elsewhere. Hopefully Congress with put pressure on telephone companies like Verizon, AT&T, etc. to do something about these harassing scam calls. Senator Bill Nelson from Florida introduced legislation regarding robo calling and spoofed calls.
Never turn your computer over to anyone unless you made the call or it's someone you know. This scam has been going on for a long time. Trust your own virus software not some idiot who clls and say who he is. I had the same problem, but never turned over my computer. Please be careful about this and file a complint.
