Did you report this to theDNC or FTC? Everyone must report and complain each time people of this type call. This is how the DNC and FTC prioritize and go after them. They must first receive, gather and collect, all of the information and evidence possible before they can attempt to pursue and arrest anyone. Especially those who are hidden in a boiler room somewhere. The evidence and how it's gained must be sufficient to assure a conviction or else all the effort and money goes down the drain and another culprit walks free. The DNC must deal with Cataloging the complaints in that the overwhelming majority are complaints that should never have been filed. Such as complaints over the many exemptions and loopholes within the DNC itself. Some complaints are over simple prank calls and those who are called only once or twice and then go away. And some complaints are filed out of momentary Anger over something that would be impossible to pursue.
There have been convictions by the FTC but they go unnoticed by most people who are not looking for it.
Last year, 2012, two different scam operations operating as heather and rachael credit card services were arrested. The first was arrested in 2011 and went to trial in 2012. The woman who headed up the operation got 17.5 years in prison and her husband got 10 years for abeting. when these people were arrested and were bonded out, they took off to the phillipines and had already set up another rachael boiler room operation. The phillipine government arrested and sent them back. The second bust has yet to go to trial. Things are happening, we just don't see it blasted out on the news media or given the attention that should be given. The worst thing is that for every Rachael credit card services that they bust, another pops up that is operated by someone else. Some from other countries.

I got a cal from this No. at 7:40 this morning and told me that there are three serious criminal cases. When I asked him what are these charges he said that , Money laundering and tax evasion and did not say the third one and said that I owe 67000 dollars to I R S and that I could go to Jail, confiscate my passport cancel my citizen ship and will be deported to my country. He thought that i had a language problem so he asked me if i need an interpreter, to which I said yes. He he transferred me to and interpreter who spoke my language. He said that IRS is ready to settle my case for 1800 Dollars If I pay right now and the case will be withdrawn. I said right now I have no money with me. He told me to Pack my belongings and get ready to be deported. The cops will be at my doors in 30. Minutes and he hung up. so pl. be aware of this No.
Caller from 7189894671 called my parents this morning at about 10am. The caller said that they were from "the legal department" and that they were going to cancel my father's citizenship and pasport. When my father called back, the person indicated that the request had already been processed and that he shouldn't call back.
Luckily, I was able to find this site and share your stories with him, which evtually calmed him down. This incident lly rattled him, though.
