Well, even after I posted last I continued to receive phone calls from this company. Vented on the registry, actually had these guys call me at past 8 in the evening one time. I did find out that the company I got my home loan with had released my personal information and if I wanted my personal information kept to myself then I had to call a phone number to get taken off the list. They don't tell you this until 6 months after the fact and hundreds of harassing phone calls later! Since I removed my personal information from any lists (that I know of at the moment), I have not received a call from the Mortgage Inv again. It's still a bunch of bull that I have to spell it out that I want my private info kept as that, private.
Have you contacted the AG for TX yet? If you need another name for your list, I'd be glad to put mine on there. Please let me know if you have more information on how to stop the calling.
Thank you.
they've called me 52 times in the last 30 days and i keep asking them not to call back. they woke me up this morning and i went off on them AGAIN! i think i'll get an air horn!
Mortgage Investors has called my house more than 50 times. I have asked nicely to be removed from their calling list and they obviously haven't done so, because they called again this morning and woke me up. I am fed up with them!
I received a statement from my mortgage company and on the back it stated that they release my information to any and all mortgage companies and if i wanted to be removed then i had to call the opt out number from my mortgage lender. The number is 1-877-772-9065 but it is for my loan through my bank. Apparently your lender will distribute your information unless you specifically tell them not to. On the back of my mortgage statement there is the "How to Opt-Out of certain infomation sharing" that I have not seen before. So if you happen to get anything from your mortgage company then give them a call to tell them not to release your information, if nothing else then they will direct you to an 800 number to get off the list. It has worked for me.
