I googled that company name and I think you should do the same and make up your mind. VERY mixed reviews. I would be very careful You SSN is not strictly needed at this point in a job offer by phone call. That bothers me a lot.
I was super suspicious about this company, googled them for about an hour.
Received several phone calls and emails for various positions all around the U.S.
Finally received a job offer in my actual location, had an interview on the phone, had my profile submitted to the client and started my new position that following Monday.
They'll email you paperwork, tax stuff, salary/offer letter, for you to sign and send or fax back.
I've been working for the company for two weeks now and haven't had any problems.
Surprisingly this is not a scam, and this is actually a company with real positions.
Yes, it is ran by people with heavy accents, but I cannot complain yet.

Hi I am a little concern about this company bcause, they offered me a job, and told me to fax my ids and a bunch of paper work like taxes, and w2 forms, but i am skepticall about this. did the job they offered you was for UPS? I dont know what I should do.

I am replying to all these posts. 22nd Century Staffing is actually a valid company, but you would not believe it after dealing with them. They never return phone calls and when you call them in "Virginia" the computer routes the call to India. Each of the recruiters and staff have stupid Americanized names, but half the time they don't remember what fake name they are using and don't respond to the name. I was offered a job through them, but they delayed and fracked around until the job was rejected. This whole process wasted 3-4 weeks of my time. This is the worst "staffing firm" in the world! They didn't even know how to process paperwork to get a contractor on-boarded with their client. The guy told me "you go sheriff finger print for business purposes". They had no process to have the finger prints forwarded and had no idea they needed an ORI number as an authorized finger print agency. Bottom line is their ignorance and lack of follow through cost me a 100K+ job! Stay away from these fools!
I find it very interesting in reading all of your posts. I too have been approached by them for a job with UPS. Yes, they are from India with American names, like we don't know it. Can barely make out what they are saying. I would not give them my SSN or date of birth without an in person interview with the hiring manager. They told me they could not do this since they were just too busy and wanted to know if I wanted the job or not. I told them not until I met the manager from UPS. Obviously this is a scam and I won't be working for UPS. Maybe someone should contact UPS and let them know how their company's name is being used in this scam. I hope anyone else is approached is very cautious!
