This is a legitimate telephone number. It is the member's help line personnel with Optum Care through United Healthcare. They were following up with me on a billing issue I had with one of my providers. Good people.
Total scam. And you're part of it. Such shilling nonsense. You are fooling nobody.
This number has a history of scam-like calls. Vague caller IDs. Asking for personal information. Pretending to call on behalf of your own insurance company or primary care physician.
Not a scam. The caller left a VM and ID'd himself as being from Optum Health which is associated with United Healthcare. The number is exactly the same as one I've called to talk to their "patient advocate" team. I had told them that it was OK for them to call my cell number and leave messages so it's not surprising that they did so.
I am a mental health provider who just received a cal from this number. It was someone from Optum Employee Assistance Program. Among other companies, they serve Delta Airlines employees. This is not a scam. This is what they do as a benefit to the employees.
