A police society call to the best of my knowledge, but with a different twist. This one sounded like a real person, but when I said I had just been in the hospital it replied, "Glad to hear the good news. I'm pleased to hear it!!!" It appears they've got new software, but it doesn't seem to be working so well. I hung up as I can't stand all of these people calling up begging for money through my credit card which nobody should ever give out over the phone unless you initiate the call and you know exactly who you are speaking to.
Caller ID says Sandwich, Massachusetts. Left no message.
Another scam? If it was important, they would leave a call back number. If you should answer by accident, and it is a police association seeking money, ask them why they are calling from Sandwich, MA when you live in Florida for example.
