A police society call to the best of my knowledge, but with a different twist. This one sounded like a real person, but when I said I had just been in the hospital it replied, "Glad to hear the good news. I'm pleased to hear it!!!" It appears they've got new software, but it doesn't seem to be working so well. I hung up as I can't stand all of these people calling up begging for money through my credit card which nobody should ever give out over the phone unless you initiate the call and you know exactly who you are speaking to.

This is yet another idiot robo-calling SCAM .. that will be blocked at handset ..

Got this call a couple of other times within the past week. The individual / robot on the other end does not leave a message on the answering machine. Other people on this site claim that it's claiming to be a charity for state police. Only a fool would donate to even a legitimate charity over the phone. I added the number to my call blocker. Once again, I ask why there is no "SCAM" in the Call Type. As someone once commented to me: "How do you know it's a scam. Poor people need to make a living, too."
