for the military spouse... as a former collector... you need to send them in writing a Cease and Desist notice for mail communication only. especially being military, we are bound to pay our debt even if old or past due.... save yourself the stress and fax them or even send them by certified mail that you wish to have no more phone calls and to only communicate by mail.... by ignoring them, they can get around the laws and essentially notify your husbands commander and he could get in trouble. so communicte to them by mail so you do not get the harrassing phone calls. Bennet Law collects on many things including bad checks that have not been cleared up too so make sure you check with them. if possible ask to speak to a lady name Jill. She has worked with us before in the past and was very understanding and helpful plus kept the command from being notified of an outstanding debt.
This guy threatened me on the phone by saying I hadn't paid my UN mandated carbon tax. He threatened to informed Alfonse Gore, Jr of my "violation", but when I asked him to prove his theory he hunged up.
