Recieved debt collection calls daily. Explained that I wasn't associated with the debtor company and was not myself the debtor. Demanded removal from call list. Ineffective, contined (but now declined to answer) daily calls.
They are scamming you - DO NOT PAY THEM! They are not even a law office -
they are using public records and bankruptcies anything they can use to get scared people to pay up!
They are not even a Law Office or work for a law firm. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
DO NOT PAY THEM! DO NOT, DO NoT, do NOT GIVE THEM BANKING OR CREDIT CARD/PERSONAL INFORMATIOM... THEY ARE USING PUBLIC RECORDS TO RETRIEVE INFORMATION ...... LIKE BANKRUPTCIES, POLICE REPORTS,
Anything that they can! They are preying on people that are already emotionally EXHAUSTED, KNOWING THAT YOU WILL DO ANYTHING TO JUST GET THEM OUT OF YOUR LIFE!

You need to call the nearest base, preferably to the unit's ombudsman and get some help with this. You are protected to a certain extent from harassment of bill collectors, even if the bill is past due. I'm retired Navy, and have watched fellow servicepeople's spouses go through the same type of thing. It doesnt matter what branch of the service. and if you're spouse is activated reserves, you can call or visit a recruiter to give you a number to the legal department or someone that can help. Might take a few calls, but the help is there. Just gotta be persistent enough to ask the right question to the right people. Don't get mad, but stand up for yourself with the resources designed to help.
