Recieved debt collection calls daily. Explained that I wasn't associated with the debtor company and was not myself the debtor. Demanded removal from call list. Ineffective, contined (but now declined to answer) daily calls.
I keep getting calls from this company "Bennett Law". They ask is so and so there, and I say no, no one lives here by that name. If you googled my phone number you would see who live here. I tell them they are harassing me for no reason what so ever. the idiot woman on the other line says it's only a wrong number, but they have called several times now. Here is their # 801 432 2935
I am getting calls from these guys again. I had a file with them a year or so ago and they garnished my wages. I have no idea why they are calling now. They are legit tho and most likely will sue. I suggest just dealing with them. I had a payment arrangment with them before and paid most ofthe debt, the reason they ended up garnishing my wages was because after a week of phone tag, I finally just sent my payment through the mail and it crossed paths with the garnishment papers so they couldn't stop it. They did however refund that portion of my payment... Just deal with them when you can. I know it's hard getting ahold of them on the phone but it's easier than getting garnished...
Bennett Law (801-432-2935) keeps phoning my cell phone. When I answer the ringing phone, sometimes during lunch business, a recording comes on instructing me to phone 877-749-2510 (If the my number has been called in error).
I have phoned the above instructed number over 8 times now! On three occasions I have reached a live person, who emphatically tells me they are going to remove my phone number from their call list. I told them I do not want them to phone my cell phone number, which by the way costs me so much per call. I told them my number is not listed, and am registered in the National DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Further, I have instructed them if they should want to make any contact with me, they should do so in writing. I have told them on each occasion, DO NOT CALL ME!
Has anyone had any luck or know who to report them to? If they are a law firm, above all, they should be held to a higher standard when it comes to upholding and following the laws which our legislature has deemed law, and they have chosen to represent!
