Male caller asked if he could pay by credit card. Since there was some odd background noise, I asked him what company he was with. Said Discovery Research Group and then wanted to speak with a manager.
So, I told him to sod off and blocked the number.
I would believe this number to be spoofed.
A woman called to "verify" that I went to and conduct a survey about EyeExam of California. I went to Lenscrafters to see the Dr. inside of Lenscrafters, whatever that company is. She said she couldn't confirm what company that was, and asked for me to confirm it. I asked where she got my number, and she replied, "from the office where you had your eye exam". I said "So you just answered your own question...right". She said "have a nice evening" and hung up.
I just had the same call, from Utah. No message left, but I did want to let you know that I don't think it has to do with Blue Cross because I haven't ever had them for my insurance, so it has to be insurance obtained some other way.
