Male caller asked if he could pay by credit card. Since there was some odd background noise, I asked him what company he was with. Said Discovery Research Group and then wanted to speak with a manager.
So, I told him to sod off and blocked the number.
I would believe this number to be spoofed.
got a call from this number asking for me by name - told me they were calling on behalf of PG&E regarding my account - said they weren't trying to sell me anything and just wanted to ask me a few questions. I had been sleeping and just awoke so told them I wasn't interested. they then hung up but now I think it was some hoax to obtain information.
Have had a call every night for the last week from this number. It is always between 6 and 8 PM. I have a block app on my phone and it kill the call on the first ring but still annoying.
Have had numerous attempts by them to reach me for the past 5 + days. I just never answer lol but most show as calling from Pleasant Grove UT tho some also show as from Franklin NJ, Carnegie PA and also as unknown.
called and told me they were hired by MetLife disability to do a survey for them. I said I was busy so they said they would call back later. Never did.
Woman asked for my husband by name. When I said he wasn't available, she said she'd call back. When I asked what it was in regard to she said his medical insurance. We just recently went on Medicare and supplements through another company other than Anthem. Since she didn't identify herself as being from our insurance company, I'm sure it's a scam. Not sure how she got my cell phone number with his name though.
