Male caller asked if he could pay by credit card. Since there was some odd background noise, I asked him what company he was with. Said Discovery Research Group and then wanted to speak with a manager.
So, I told him to sod off and blocked the number.
I would believe this number to be spoofed.
Numerous calls w/o leaving a message until I finally answered tonight @ 6:30pm.
They're an (insurance) satisfaction survey company.
When asked who was calling, her response was "The Hartford".
I asked her to remove my name & number from their calling list.
It was claimed that they wanted to know my responses despite assurances of annonymity.
Caller persisted in trying to get my participation asking if another time was better.
I again asked to have my information removed.
Caller's response was my name couldn't be removed, just my phone number.
Hopefully, that's the last time I get a call from them...
Received calls on my cell from this number tonight and last night, both at 6:36 pm (AK time). I did not answer and no msg left. As others have noted, calls come from Pleasant Grove, UT. I will keep ignoring. As we live in AK, the CA eye exam theory does not apply for us. We did have Blue Cross insurance a few years back, so maybe that's the key.
Have had calls daily on my cell from this number (801-769-0957) for over a week now...will not answer since the caller ID only shows "Utah"...I'm on the No Call list but that doesn't seem to affect these folks. Annoying to say the least.
They called my cell phone which is unusual since I have a land-line and don't use my cell much. I did not recognize the number, so I did not answer it. I use BCBS and have had medical treatment recently. I am glad I read these comments and did not answer the phone.
Keep up the good work!!! Knowledge IS POWER.
