Received a call from "801-823-2020" asking me to please take a telephone survey. This was not just a survey over the phone, but she wanted information on our phones, phone system and such. Part of the call was automated (repeating back some business address) and a woman was on the othet part, and very faded and broken. If anyone has heard a secure encrypted phone call, that's what it reminded me of. I told her to call back on Monday...I work for the federal government and Monday's a holiday. :)
I had just purchased a new cell from T-Mobile and - in the span of time before my old number ported - I got 3 calls from 823-2020 and 823-2021. I answered the third call and it was a phone survey from T-Mobile. Apparently, this number and others in sequence (-2020,-2021, etc.) belongs to Western WATS Data Collection (www.westernwats.com) in Ogden UT. Their direct line is 801-373-7735 for the in-house no call list.
I got a missed call on my cell phone from this number today. I didn't know who it was so I decided to search for the number online. After reading some of postings above, I think I figured it out. I bought a new phone from T-Mobile yesterday and I was told that I may be contacted by their office for a customer service survey. It is supposed to be something that they do randomly to ensure that their sales associates are doing their best.
