This is NOT Bank of America. I spoke with Bank of America and their security department is now opening an investigation into these SCAMMERS. Report them to [email protected]
Just got off the phone with BOA, as I have an account there. The rep called this number and she verified that it is BOA debt collections, she asked his name and ID number and verified it on their system. She said they must be calling someone who had the number before me, looking for debt repayment. I did give them my name and number to take me off their list, but no SSN or house number. Seems that they are legitimate debt collectors for someone, who is another question
YEP, its me again, the original poster,,,, BoA just called me today, they've actually been calling 3-5 x per week for the 9-10 months, but i've been ignoring them. They are trying to still collect on our mortgage that we ended up filing bankruptcy on November last year and on a house we dont even own anymore... it was sold on short sale back in February. Do their departments not talk to each other????
Apparently, their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing... Contact the lawyer who handled your bankruptcy - he'll be able to tell you what, if anything, you need to do. I feel so bad for all the people who've had the same problems as you - job loss, medical bills, etc.
Well they have certainly ruined my life. They do not care about hard times or a screwed economy. I even offered to make partial payments. These stupid [***] said that partial payments will be rejected and sent back. So I guess paying nothing is better??? They will NOT work with us at all. I had a near fatal accident and medical bills up the wahzoo. They don't care. So eff them!
