I just got a new number and they have been calling me ever since i got it and i have no debts to pay which confuses me. should i just register my number on the Do Not Call List?
The Don-Not-Call registry does not apply to collection agencies. If you have just gooten someone else's old telephone number - good luck trying to convince them that the debtor is not you.
I would appreciate these jerks not calling me on Tuesday mornings when my brother in law is sleeping (because he is off work and I get some freakin time away from him!) and since he doesn't have a phone and he has to give people MY phone number. Calling and having me wake him up so now I have to deal with him all day. I appreciate the jerk who had to call me at 8:45am. I reallllly appreciate you ruining my day!
These people claim to be auto loan processors,when in reality they are debt collectors. For over two years, they periodically call until I answer. After expressing promises to remove my name from their their call List, they call again.This is pure harassment on their part.
I have had several calls from them,up until today when I answer the phone nobody on their end would respond.
When I called the number on the caller ID I got a recording asking for my SSN # or account #
Seems like a scam to me they may want to get peoples SSN for identity theft
Today I filed a complaint with the FCC
Then I got another call from them this time with a live person on their end, they asked for somebody that I do not know.
I have had this same phone number for over 5 years
credit acceptan and their number was on the caller ID
