Anyone know where they are located? I gotta go to this office because MT phone keeps going off at work and this is third strike. I got someone else's number so yay me.
first of all lets begin by identifying collection companies.
1) collections companies are the true warriors of collections. they listen, respect and help in time of need, they are trained to identify a hard ship to a bluff.
2) Credit Acceptance collectors are not real collectors. the follow scripts, they have no courtesy, and do not respect the federal and state laws as well as the do no call list and the use their personal cell phones to make collection calls. that is how they get away with violations of federal and state laws, they are known as in house collectors which in lamest terms "THEY ARE THE BIGGEST JOKE IN THE COLLECTION INDUSTRY!" they will never work for real collection companies also known as financial institutions.
3) you should not give them your social security number nor your name, if it is you they are looking for they have all the information in their data bank/files and the phone number is good enough to access the acct in which the already have accessed the account that is why they are calling your number.
4) all cell phones have a caller reject setting all you have to do is send the number you do not recognize to CALL REJECT as i did. telling them not to call wrong person will not help they will just send the file to Arizona, New York, San Francisco, or some ware in the south were the caller has a bad Ebonics problem or to a foreign country were you can not understand the caller. REMEMBER "CALL REJECT" on all cell phones or on land lines if your phone is equip with this setting. GOOD LUCK
