When I answered this am , and asked whos calling , Then they said the name I said " NO ONE HERE BY THAT NAME" He just said you could have said that at the beginning of call to save him time. REALLY ! Please have these people STOP calling my #.
I received a phone call from this number on 2/27/11 at 3:55 PM which was last Sunday. I don't think it's legal to call on a Sunday but they do so they must have found a loophole.

The law firm of Turner Law Offices, LLC has filed a Class Action lawsuit against Defendant Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. ("PRA") in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on behalf of all persons in the State of Georgia who, since October 28, 2010, received a non-emergency telephone call from PRA to a cellular telephone through the use of an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice and who did not provide prior express consent for such calls during the transaction that resulted in the debt owed.
When these Portfolio folks call me, I usually don't answer if it's an unknown number. Once in a while I goof, but the first line they say is to ask for Randy ******, or may I speak with Randy ****. I just say NO and hang up. If they are polite enough to ask "May I speak with Randy ****" I am polite enough to say"No you may not." Then I hang up.
Their calls are getting less frequent but they called today I didn't answer but googled the # anyway. . I too had some credit card debts from the early '90s, long written off and forgotten by the actual lenders. If you answer accidentally and it's them, just hang up. And of course, screen your calls.
