its a scam people.. they tell you they will lower your rates yet they just need all the billing info. told them to shove the phone up their [***] then dial it from inside, and ONLY then i will give my info to that scimbag. i think she tried it to be honest
I've actually worked here before. I quit because every other call someone is telling you that you're a piece of [***] and need to kill yourself. Ladies and gents, people who work at telemarketing places are... well, people. They don't have a personal vendetta against you. They're just trying to feed their families. It's not a scam, and they can't actually change your provider. They would have no reason to even if they could.
Is it annoying? Yes. Oh, god, yes. But the person you're talking to probably JUST got off the phone with someone who screamed into their headset for five to twenty minutes. And they actually did save me a bit of money on my power bill, so hey.
The people telling you what of piece of fecal matter you are, they are totally correct. You and your fellow telepests and telescammers deserve all the abuse you get AND MORE. Get used to it, it's only going to get worse. It's not just an annoyance, it is a filthy scam, and you should be in jail.
I answered and heard the same BS. They can lower our Pepco bill. Idiots. Pepco just lowered our rate and all transactions were done via US mail. I sternly told the bozo to remove my name from their call list and never to call here again. Tomorrow I'm reporting them to Pepco (most likely waste of my time).

just received call from Startel LLC telling me my Pepco bill will be reduced...said she'd wait while I got my latest bill to give her the account number. I told her to take my name off the list. Am sure this is a scam..
