I answered a call from this number and it was a man who said he was calling from Washington DC for the US government and I could barely understand him. He said I was being issued a grant for $7000 from the US government all I needed to do was give him my bank account information I told him we had a bad connection and to give me a phone number to call him back he gave me another phone number with a 202 area code and then gave me a claim number to claim my money I am reporting to New York State Atty. Gen.
This is a scam...they say they are with Microsoft and want access to your computer...they have an Indian accent. Also if they leave a message they say they are from government agency or IRS so you will call them back....don't answer the phone and DO NOT give them any information. A lot of these people have thick accents...never give access to your computer or personal information over the phone.. IRS will send you a letter if they want to contact you and so will the government first.

Middle Eastern man stated that he was with Microsoft and that had conducted a survey within the last couple of days and detected a problem with my computer. He asked me the usual, are you the primary user, are you at your computer, what key is located to the left of the Ctrl key, I stated jump, he says "Do you see my [***] next to your Ctrl key", and that is where I totally lost it. I knew from the beginning of this call this was a scam but I did not expect that kinda comment. I'll be laughing about this for days.
