I answered a call from this number and it was a man who said he was calling from Washington DC for the US government and I could barely understand him. He said I was being issued a grant for $7000 from the US government all I needed to do was give him my bank account information I told him we had a bad connection and to give me a phone number to call him back he gave me another phone number with a 202 area code and then gave me a claim number to claim my money I am reporting to New York State Atty. Gen.
i got this call and do not want any more from them... it s a scam. they wanted access to my computer i said no.
they said i was registered when i bought this and i never did.
I have received 2 calls from this number. The person that calls has a heavy accent, yet has an Anglicized name (first was Nick Adams, second said his name was David). Both claim to be from a company called Wind-os Fast Service (but they say it like Windows Fast Service) and told me that they had reports that one of my computers had malicious files on it. I asked "how do you know what my computer has on it?" I told the first guy that I was doing absolutely nothing to my computer without first checking with my husband as he claimed this was something we had registered on one of our computers. He gave me his name, a phone number to call back on and a registration number. I Googled the phone number he gave me and it pulls up Wind-os Fast Service website. Second call came in 2 days later, same spiel. I told the guy that my husband says he hasn't signed up/registered/downloaded their app so how the heck do THEY know I what I've got on my computers. Guys said "Look we are trying to help you" I pointed out "no, you are trying to get me to do something to my computer that I don't feel needs doing. You have no way to know what I've got on my computers. This is a scam and I am about to report you". End of call.
