Got a call today from this number. They caught me in the middle of cleaning so I didn't have a pen and paper handy to write down the number I'm suppose to call. The recorded message said that it was in attempt to collect a debt. I don't have any debt or atleast not any I'm not current on paying! So, I hit #1 to be connected directly to a "Customer Service Agent" and the phone went dead. My caller ID said it was from Texarkana TX?
Does anyone have any idea what kind of debt they are trying to collect for?

I have now gotten several phone calls from this number. The are asking for my mom, and I wonder how they got my cell phone number? although someone else made a comment about it being a collection agency for people who had past due bills from qwest...this kind of makes sense to me, but they need to REALLY stop Harrassing me about someone elses problems.
After receiving numerous calls from 870-216-4090 (Arkansas Call) trying to reach a senior citizen friend in Michigan (I live in Indiana) I talked to AT&T phone Company, IN Better Business Bureau, Dallas BBB, Atlanta Better Busi. B., and the Fed. Trade Commission, being shuffled around from one to another. I blocked my number and called 866-302-0858 talking to a rude person who hung up on me in mid sentence. Was told by Dallas BBB this is a company called West Asset Management out of Georgia and gave me a "corporate" number which was a dead end. The FTC suggested I send a certified letter to the company requesting my # be removed. By law, once a collection agency is told they have the wrong number, they're suppose to quit calling. Atlanta BBB says they've received over 200 complains over the past six months. I finally talked to a polite person I reached at the company by calling 1-888-433-2886. She took my # and asked if they were trying to reach my friend in Michigan, giving his name. She said she'd make sure our number was removed from the calling list. If it isn't, I will send a certified letter-one copy to them, one to FTC and one to Atlanta BBB.
They call my house all day long- will hang up and call right back, the recording gives you options to press then when I press the one that says they have the wrong number the person does not live here-- it says you can't do that one. it is insane
