Got a call today from this number. They caught me in the middle of cleaning so I didn't have a pen and paper handy to write down the number I'm suppose to call. The recorded message said that it was in attempt to collect a debt. I don't have any debt or atleast not any I'm not current on paying! So, I hit #1 to be connected directly to a "Customer Service Agent" and the phone went dead. My caller ID said it was from Texarkana TX?
Does anyone have any idea what kind of debt they are trying to collect for?

i am sick and tired of these phone calls at least 5 times per week. they will not tell me what it is in reference to when i call them back. if they don't stop, I will report them to the FCC.
I got a call today from this number, and they were asking for the lady that lives downstairs from us. I don't know why they would call our number, or how they even got our number! They would not give me information as to who they were though.
These people call on many various 866 and 870 area code numbers as a collection agency. I do not have any outstanding debts. Since they never specify who they are looking for I am not interested in calling them on the different number they left to call back on. PS: I just bought a new car and was complimented on my outstanding credit info. LOL
I called them today and told them to cease and desist. I do not owe anyone any money and have never had an overdue bill, ever. I called West Asset Management directly. After a heated exchange and being hung up on and made to call back, they said they'd remove my phone number from their call list. Do I believe that? No.
Since a google search indicated they collect debts for Sprint, I called Sprint customer service and told them I want them to contact the collection agency and tell them I do not owe them any money and they did agree to do that.
I also have contacted law enforcement about this matter and have made numerous complaints via the Do Not Call registry. I didn't know the registry does nothing to resolve complaints; they just put the caller's number on a list that may or may not be looked at by someone looking into troublesome calls. It seems the scrupulous companies will adhere to the list and jerks like these will not.
Further, I have contacted my rep in Congress to request federal legislation to keep these parasites from using up our air time with their calls.
