Got a call today from this number. They caught me in the middle of cleaning so I didn't have a pen and paper handy to write down the number I'm suppose to call. The recorded message said that it was in attempt to collect a debt. I don't have any debt or atleast not any I'm not current on paying! So, I hit #1 to be connected directly to a "Customer Service Agent" and the phone went dead. My caller ID said it was from Texarkana TX?
Does anyone have any idea what kind of debt they are trying to collect for?

I keep getting a call from 1-870-216-4090 on my cell phone. I called the number back because it showed up on my missed calls and the guy asked me if I received mail at my residence. When I asked him to tell me what he was calling about he said that by Federal Law he doesn't have to tell me. So, I said that I wasn't going to give him out any personal information to a stranger. He said we will call back and he hung up. Is this a scam?
They called here this morning. It's some sleazy debt collection service in Arkansas that buys up ancient debt from original creditors and then tries to collect on it -- even if the debt isn't legitimate or is no longer legally collectible. What's weird is that they called here looking for my dead grandfather; I have no idea how they got my number. I had a few choice words for them and directed them to never call me again. I'm also reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission.
My advice if they call you: NEVER answer any of their questions, no matter how innocent the questions seem. Better yet, just tell them they have the wrong number and hang up.
Ok, so I have the same annoying problem... I appriciate the fact that everyone is venting... but does anyone actually know who this # belongs to???? I would like to get them to stop calling my boyfriends best friend for me ?? How anyone could put that together I have no idea...
This number (870-216-4090) called my cell phone. Only family and close friends have this number. When i returned the call they gave my mothers name and asked for the last four digits of the SSN. (my mother has been deceased for twenty years.) When i didn't respond to the question they hung up. Who is this company? How did they get my cell number
