Called numerous times on previous days. Called this a.m. @ 8 a.m. & tried to reject number only to find out its a landline and for an extra charge my cell phone carrover would block the call for me. He called back a little later and I got the same spiel as everyone else. Finally got him to stop.talking long enough to tell him NOT to call me again. He said "Ok" and HE hung up on me!! Will 'watch' and see if he calls again..
Yes, that number purports to be from Jacksonville, but it IS spoofed.
Same info as already reported, Windows Technical Support Department. This is a SCAM and they will try to tell you that you have a virus, then try to get you to allow them to "clean" your system. I strung him along as far as possible, then told him I was on a Mac. He was so mad that all he could say was that "I was the biggest rabbit in America", whatever that means. I think he meant [***]. LOL
Please don't tell me I need a blocker of some sort. It is becoming more and more common for doctors and other people you need to talk to to have "Unknown" in the caller ID, particularly appointment confirmation offices. I guess from where they sub it out. Some numbers, like this one, are easy enough to spot, but I love wasting their time, and believe me, they will not call you back, at least until some other scammer auto dials you ; )
Recieved same call stating my computer Windows program had a problem. I kept asking them to repeat everything as accent was so incredibly bad. After about five minutes informed them that I was aware of their scam process and made them so mad they hung up on me! Looked up this number and found out I was right. Wish we could deluge THEIR phone lines to aggravate them back !
Rude female telling me my computer was bad. I abused her in hindi....please do the same if they call you. Learn some bad hindi words and shock them silly.
