so the guys calls my office and wants to speak to the person in charge of our century link account. I say it's me and he's surprised and says I usually don't get the right person to start with, haha. Then he says his company is partnering with century link to make sure we are getting all our services and are not paying for things we don't need. I asked him why his number was showing as unavailable instead of century link and that got him stuttering. Anyway after a few more minutes I finally got out of him that his company is Coastal Communications, and told him that the last time we VERIFIED (lol) our information with someone we ended up with a fax service charge of 14.99 on our phone bill and that I thought our phone service was fine and hung up. I hate telemarketing liars!
Yeah i just got a phone call from this number at my office. After I picked up the phone and stated my regular greeting there was a loonnggg pause! Then some stuttering from some guy saying "Oh! sorry I have the wrong number" and then he hung up. Haha very weird.
Just like you, I answered with my name, and the guy said, "Sorry I got the wrong number" and hung up before I could ask him who he was trying to reach. If like others have mentiod this is Coastal Communications, there have been other complaints about these folks that can be found all over the internet.
