I get this phone call all the time, I state my name and company and then there is a long pause and they hang up. Thanks for the information though on the Centurylink ploy, because I will not give them any information!
"Kyla" at 904-701-0308 called and was pushy and rude, demanding to speak to the owner in order to change our website. She told me that she didn't want to speak with me if I was "just a secretary". Despite repeated requests, she refused to provide the name of her company. It's difficult to know what scam or trick they are trying to pull now but I certainly do not want to do business with any company that avoids being on the up and up.
We're getting the same calls with nobody on the other end - after hanging up the first time, they call back and again, nobody on the other end. So, I won't answer next time that number calls...
