DO NOT CALL THEM BACK: It's a scam operation calling from the #s below. Each week there's a new number too. block these numbers from your landlines and cellphone and keep adding the new #s to your block list. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/stand-fake-debt-collectors.
Any calls from these numbers are FAKE PAYDAY LOAN COLLECTION CALLS, who threaten jail time if you don't pay them a certain amount to prevent you from facing "charges". FAKE FAKE SCAM SCAM. DO NOT verify anything. The FTC is aware and asks that you file a complaint online: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/stand-fake-debt-collectors.
They call from different numbers so please be sure to report the # each time you receive a call.
I go t a call a guy named Richard Kaiser, said he is with pre-trial intervention and i have a case against me, He needs to hear from me or my attorney today and i need to govern myself accordingly. The call came from Colorado, a state I have never been to. No clue what he is talking about.
I just received a call from this number this morning saying I had 3 felonies against me and I was going to spend 180 days in jail! They wouldn't give me any information other than they were Legal Litigations and that they represented National Bank. They said that I would be arrested in 24 to 72 hours and then I could have my case heard in front of a judge. When I asked for more information they hung up on me. I contacted my attorney immediately who informed me that this is a scam and they are trying to extort money from me. They look up your information of past debts owed (whether paid and settled or not) and try and scare you into giving them money. The weird thing is, they never really asked me for money. The woman I spoke with was literally screaming at me on the phone and telling me that I was a felon! I am not a felon! I pay my bills! This is complete and utter BS!
