DO NOT CALL THEM BACK: It's a scam operation calling from the #s below. Each week there's a new number too. block these numbers from your landlines and cellphone and keep adding the new #s to your block list. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/stand-fake-debt-collectors.
Any calls from these numbers are FAKE PAYDAY LOAN COLLECTION CALLS, who threaten jail time if you don't pay them a certain amount to prevent you from facing "charges". FAKE FAKE SCAM SCAM. DO NOT verify anything. The FTC is aware and asks that you file a complaint online: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/stand-fake-debt-collectors.
They call from different numbers so please be sure to report the # each time you receive a call.
They use the following #s to call: 970-366-4100, 303-951-4619, 303-562-1962 going by James Kaiser Investigations.
When you ask specific questions to get them to provide details they either hang up on you or start using vulgar language and curses. At that point they know the gig is up and cannot fool you into the scam so they let their guard down and start cursing really bad. I actually almost called the police but realize the numbers they call from will not pinpoint them as to where they are actually located.
My suggestion is to keep reporting the fraud each time it happens and NEVER ANSWER CALLS of telephone #s you dont recognize. Let the calls go to voicemail at all times. Do not return these calls. Here is the fair debt collection act. You will know a legimate collection call when you receive and in almost all cases will contact you in writing. Legitimate companies will know how to find you. Never make financial arrangements over the phone EVER. Finally never confirm any information.

This is now the 3rd time they have called my home and each time it is a different number. They never say who the pending case is for but that either "You or your lawyer need to call them today" They need to be STOPPED
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
