The right number to call for existing COAF auto loan accounts is 800-946-0332 for a live COAF representative or customers can log in securely and view their COAF auto loan account online. COAF customers should *NOT* call back on 972-378-3660 -- this number does NOT appear on Capitol One's website contact page. Since we are talking about existing accounts, Capitol One already has ALL your info so no need to confirm any info with a stranger who calls you from a number that is NOT listed on the bank's website. Giving away personal info to a stranger calling from a strange number is STUPID.
Definitely Capital One Auto. I do get multiple calls per day, but generally once I schedule a payment online the calls stop.
Capital One Auto is not the worst. I had an HSBC Auto loan that was taken over by Santander. Santander was really bad. They traditionally work with high risk auto loans and that was the way they treated my wife and I. We were close to payoff, so my wife and I ended up paying off that loan just to get rid of them.
I received a couple calls from this number. As soon as I picked up it immediately went to a message telling me to call 972-378-3660. Well, I called and the first thing they asked me for was my FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!! I don't think so. I offered to give them my last 4 digits, but they said they needed the whole thing to pull up my account. I told them I don't think so and hung up.
I just refinanced an auto loan through them my first payment isn't due for an entire month!!
I keep getting calls from this number saying I just got a new car loan from Capitol One and they have additional questions for me and I need to call 1-877-945-4595. I have never financed anything through Capitol One except for a credit card that has been closed since 2004 and has no remaining balance.
