Both I and my assistant got calls from these scum, 2 hours apart on our cel phones (which were also registered on the do not call list) claiming that they're a travel company and we had signed up for a sweepstakes with them. Nope, losers. Banned.
Called me at 815pm. Introduced himself as John with some travel company. I stated that I wasn't interested in purchasing anything. His response se was "I'm not selling you anything, did I say that I was selling you anything?" I responded saying g that I wasn't taking calls from rude solicitors that impede on my evening.
Called 9/20/15 at 5:53pm. I had won a sweepstakes for something I had signed up for. I never fill out those things. He said that it was a REALLY long time ago. So long ago, that I forgot. Ya, right. I hung up on him.
The do not call registry is a joke, typical of the government, complete incompetence! I got a call from this number on my mobile phone, didn't answer, they did not leave a message, I called the number back, got an answering device, left them a nasty message, the morons they are!!!
You need to inform yourself of what the 'do not call' list is, does, and is for. It will NOT protect you from illegal telemarketers, robodialers, and most of all - foreign 3rd world criminals faking their caller ID to try and scam you. May we put you on the next bus to India? You can have a nice cup of tea and chat with their Prime Minister about his new space platform, satellites, and scammers. Just for your information, calling a scammer back informs him your phone number is real & live. Your name and number then go on a scam sheet & are sold for between $5 and $7. a sheet.
