Both I and my assistant got calls from these scum, 2 hours apart on our cel phones (which were also registered on the do not call list) claiming that they're a travel company and we had signed up for a sweepstakes with them. Nope, losers. Banned.
Claimed I filled a drawing for a free trip and was calling to tell me I had won. When I told him, I nor had my husband had done such a thing - he hung up on me. When I call the number it rings once then I get a busy signal. Definitely a scam.
I received a call from this number. Man's voice said he was a manager. I couldn't understand what he was saying and I asked him to have someone else call. He hung up and then called again w/unavailable # and didn't say anything
Received call on my cell at 10:39am, 11/29/15 (Sunday.) Didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voice mail. No message left.
I realize it's very tempting to answer any and all incoming calls, but if you don't recognize the name or number, why would you? If it's a legitimate caller, they'll leave a message with their name and a call-back number. If you STILL don't recognize who called, it's your choice if you want to call them back. As others have said, responding to an unknown call simply lets them know they have a working number and chances are you'll start receiving a lot more of these calls. Again, why would you want that?
