I stupidly answered a 800 call and it was a debt collector that had an Indian accent. He insisted he could get my debt way down. Then when I said I would get back,to him on it, he became mean and said I had to give him 100.00 for the so called deal! It was a learning experience, and I will not do it again. What is really sad, is how many poor, elderly, lonley, isolated people they do scare into writing post dated checks ECT. Its sick!
A fraud company. They have my unlisted number and cell number to ask for a relative to call them about an alleged case. They identified themselves as an "investigator", but did not say with whom.

Called twice. Left no massage the first time. I answered the second time and the caller refused to tell me who he was. He said that I am being investigated by the government and demanded that I "verify" my personal information; I adamantly declined. He refused to tell me what branch of the government was supposedly investigating me, and for what purpose. He stated that he could not give me any information until I verify my information for him. I just hung up. The government has no reason to investigate me, so I am certain this was just some [***] trying to steal my identity or something.
