I stupidly answered a 800 call and it was a debt collector that had an Indian accent. He insisted he could get my debt way down. Then when I said I would get back,to him on it, he became mean and said I had to give him 100.00 for the so called deal! It was a learning experience, and I will not do it again. What is really sad, is how many poor, elderly, lonley, isolated people they do scare into writing post dated checks ECT. Its sick!
Same here. They have been ratcheting up their calls over the past few weeks, chasing after an out-of-statute debt. We just ignore them and go about our business.
Received a call from the number. Demanded to know my name and mentioned theirs but no company name. After these reviews I'm simply ignoring them too. I was a scam victim at one point and just don't want to deal with it anymore.
Saw a missed call from this number. No message was left. Find Portfolio Recovery calls weekly from all different numbers. Another number blocked and reported to FCC: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us
If you didn't answer the call and identify who the caller was, why are you posting about it? This site is for reporting the identity of callers, not for reporting that you didn't answer when the number called.
