Caller ID was "FINANCIAL CTR". Message left was about: "reducing credit card interest rates to as little as 6% if I owe at least $3000 and one card is in good standing."
I have received several calls from this number. I've reported it to the Do Not Call registry but it doesn't seem to help. Only way is to block the number until they change it. We need to find a way to stop this.
Call came in at 10:40 am PDT on 7/05/2012. No msg left on ans machine. Phoned this spoofed number back and an automated female voice said that I had received a marketing call from a comerical organization; it said I could press 1 to be removed from this (unnamed) organizatiobn's call list. After pressing 1, the voice said to please allow 24 hours for my number to be removed.
OUR NUMBER IS ON THE FEDERAL DO NOT CALL LIST, BUT WE CONTINUE TO RECEIVE THIS TYPE OF MARKETING CALL. NEVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO THESE FRAUDSTERS.
July 5, 2012 1:11pm CST ` Received a call from 1-971-220-1032. Same fake message as the above posts but this time I pressed "1" to speak with someone and a Caucasian male voice answered, I immediately asked his name and he responded, "Justin". I then told him I was on the DO NOT CALL List and I have been harrassed by this agency after pressing the number to be removed. Well the [***] just hung up the phone in my face. Believe me, I will be adding this number to my blocked calls. Next time I will cuss him out before he hangs up.
