Caller ID was "FINANCIAL CTR". Message left was about: "reducing credit card interest rates to as little as 6% if I owe at least $3000 and one card is in good standing."
Keep getting a Call from this number every 2 months and every 2 weeks I place a 125 db Panic ALARM next to receiver that blares for a good minute. Most of them get the message and hang up..
Going to get my machine to do this automatically for me in 2012. Just by entering their number into database. !
I received another call from this number today. The computer sounded it had called me and sent me numerours calls. These people are idiots. I just hung up, next time I will have my whistle to blow in there ear. I'm so tired of these phone numbers.
THIS COMPANY CALLS ME OFTEN, DOES NOT LEAVE NAME OF COMPANY, WHEN I ASKED THEY BECAME NASTY....I AM ON "DO NOT CALL LIST " NATION WIDE AND FOR PENNSYLVANIA...
THERE ARE SEVERAL I HAVE SENT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. YOU MAY ADVISE THE CALLER THE FINE IS $1, 000 THE FIRST TIME , $5, 000 ANY AND EACH CALL AFTER..
Okay...the "law makers" passed a law some time ago that made it illegal for such calls to be made and they are breaking the law in so many ways. First, it is illegal for them to robocall. Second, I am on the national and state no call list making it illegal. I researched this on several different numbers over the last couple of years and found the parent company. Reported them to the FCC, BBB, and made a call to them letting them know that if this didn't stop, I would get an attorney. The gentlemen on the other end said I didn't have their company info and when I read it off along with the actual phone number vs the ghost number, he apologized and said I would be removed. We didn't get calls from them for about 6 months and now they have started up again. However, my old system crashed and I don't know if I was able to save the info from before.
In any event, this is ridiculous...if the powers that be can pass the law they can't call, then they can pass a law making it illegal to get the ghost numbers and it should be easier to track and shut down such illegal practices. I am going to start sending letters to my senator and state rep each time I get one of these calls. Maybe if they keep getting the letters, they will get tired of this and do something to stop it.
