I got a call from a guy calling himself Officer Steven Smith, he told me I needed to call him back or have my attorney call him back. I thought it was just a prank and ignored the calls. I got about 7 in a row. I called him and he went on with some bullcrap about I owed US National Bank 500.00. I knew I did not so I told him he was a lier and hung up. Then he calls again and my daughter answers the phone and he tells her that I'm going to be arrested and we are in danger. It took a lot of convincing for me to get my child to believe this was a scam. The law was suppose to come pick me up he said in two days, Its been 60 and I'm still waiting for the law. I dare he scare my child like this, he can kiss my double cheeks but when you mess with my child you have to pay. He will pay, sooner or later, he will get whats due him.
EVERYONE BEWARE, DON'T SEND THIS DEVILS ANY MONEY. TELL THEM TO SHOVE IT!. Report them to the Police, FTC, BBB, Secret Service and your state's attorney general
They called and the caller ID says unknown number but they left a message for me or my attorney to call back regarding an urgent, time sensitive matter. If I didn't call back he wished my family the best of luck. It was some middle eastern sounding dude who gave his name as Sean Teller and left this number as a call back number. I called and the number is invalid.
I received these same calls, first on Firday and again today, everything was exectly as stated from previous blogs above, mine was regarding a payday loan too. I've already filed a police report, the officer left my house about 20 minutes ago and agreed that this was a complete scam. I let him listen to the voicemail "Danny Archer" had left me and he just laughed, wasn't that the character from the movie "Blood Diamond"? If you receive these calls obviously don't pay a cent, contact your police department and inform them of the situation. These people are sick, you would think their first priority would be to learn english, it's hard to scam someone if they can't understand you! I too was threatend with someone showing up at my house tomorrow, these guys aren't going to do a thing and if they do they're the ones who will need the luck!
Ryan, I had received the same message, also about a payday loan that I was never approved for in the first place. The person I had spoken to first was by the name of Mark Phillip, again with an indian accent I could not even understand, he left a message and asked to call him at the 201-234-4071. I had called and a lady's voice came on by the name of Kathy Smith, again, I could not understand what she was saying, and the background was so noisy. I try for the third time and another gentleman pick up the telephone and it sound it like the same voice I had spoken to first, this time his name was Jeff. I did some research and forward this to my attorney and he advice me that if they are collecting from an agency of a payday loan they need to give you their agency's name and address or telephone number so that you can reach them. I was afraid at first, because they were issuing threats to me, expecially at work. I have contacted my attorney. It's been a week since I have not heard from them, hopefully it will be the last.
I just received a threatening call from a Jason Black. he said I would be sorry if I did not call him back at 2012344071. he said bad things will unfold on me. I do not know who or why this guy is threatening me.
Just got a 2nd phone call from these people threatening me and my family for no apparent reason. Can't these people be found and arrested? This has to be illegal. This is also after I reported it to local police.
