I got a call from a guy calling himself Officer Steven Smith, he told me I needed to call him back or have my attorney call him back. I thought it was just a prank and ignored the calls. I got about 7 in a row. I called him and he went on with some bullcrap about I owed US National Bank 500.00. I knew I did not so I told him he was a lier and hung up. Then he calls again and my daughter answers the phone and he tells her that I'm going to be arrested and we are in danger. It took a lot of convincing for me to get my child to believe this was a scam. The law was suppose to come pick me up he said in two days, Its been 60 and I'm still waiting for the law. I dare he scare my child like this, he can kiss my double cheeks but when you mess with my child you have to pay. He will pay, sooner or later, he will get whats due him.

Called them back today after Friday's call to verify the loan date, he said 5/5/08. I said interesting, I didn't open the account you read to me until May 10. I know for a fact there was no payday loan on that date. I then said I filed a local police report and read the case #, complained with the FTC and FBI...he said Yeah yeah, goodbye. I know of no law firms that react that way, have a disconnected phone number on weekends and late at night and then reactivate it in the morning. The policeman tried to call the number back and it just beeped. he said in the past they block government numbers, and after a few days on google, they change their number and continue to call. He assured me it was a scam and in his 17 years has never seen a warrant for a debt, it is a civil suit, not criminal. But I am pretty sure they got all of our apps at one point and are basically reading back the material. Try to call them late at night, it's either busy, rings for 34 secs and then hangs up, or tells you the phone is disconnected. I am going to play hard ball. good luck.
I received the same threat on my work number and reported it to my security people here at work. I called them back and they pretended not to hear me and started threatening me saying if I choose not to speak they will take it as a threat.
The woman would not tell me who she was, what this was about - nothing - just played ignorant to anything I was asking and like I said, pretended not to hear anything I was saying.
They also use the name Nick Knight and used a different number a few weeks ago - 310-807-0646.
They also threatened my family and wished me good luck. They also wanted my retained attorney of record to call them. They used this line from both phone numbers.
I have no idea what this is about and would like any assistance on how I should proceed
I got a call about 20 minutes ago from this same "operation". They actually called for my supervisor, who I told them was out of the office. (and she also had a call from them at home about the same time - he left a message) They claimed to have a case downloading against her. Who talks like that?? I could tell right away this was BS due to all the back ground noise and HEAVY accent. "Chris Martin" (isn't he the lead singer for Cold Play??) wasn't threatening to me, since I wasn't the one he was looking for I suppose. But in reading all the above blogs, I sure wish I would have know what his true purpose was. I would have let him have it!! IN CLEAR ENGLISH! The most scary apart about it is the fact that they have personal information.
I have been receiving phone calls from this number since Friday afternoon. It was a Stephen Gulf that was the supposed representative for the Law Firm in which my case was turned over too. He threatened me stating that I will be arrested if I do not show up to court tomorrow. He will have people come to my work place and escort me to the CourtHouse, but he didnt knnow what courthouse it would be at, he did not send me any official paperwork as to my court summons or the affidavit of my charges. He defiled my charecter not even knowing me, he yelled at me, told me I should have re-payed my debt. I told him I never received a payday loan from Natinal Payday Services, he had all my information social, address, everything, I do not understand how he got all that information. Everyone that I spoke to had very mid east accents and it was very noisy. They said the loan was from 5/5/08. I spoke to my Bank to verify that nothing was deposited for that time frame even though I already knew there was nothing. Then I spoke to Christine Jones who was the supposed Investigating Officer she told me to fax over my bank statement to prove that the funds were never deposited. I never sent my bank statement but i had my lawyer send a fax and they have not contacted me again so far. They are just a--holes. They will get whats coming to them. If anyone else receives a message from this number do not call back, inform your local authorities as well as the FTC and all other government agencies.
I recieved a call from 201-234-4071 this law office a Christine Jung or Jones. (Couldnt understand with back round noise)She said I owed money to. I told her that I reported this call to authorities and she got angry and hung up.The really scary part is that these people have all my info regarding ss#, bank account#, everything! she wanted me to verify this to her but i told her i was not verifying anything. You all might want to keep watch on your personal info as they somehow bought this info. This is a scam!! I did call the number back and someone did answer but not as a law firm.
