So I have an account on care.com for dog walking service and got a text message from this number asking met to email her sister who is looking for a dog walker. I emailed and got a response that was very detailed and basically saying they wanted to hire me to walk there two dogs when they moved to this area. They would send a cashier check ahead of time as the dogs might get there before they do and so on.... Well I'm thankfully aware of scams like this and hope this helps someone make the decision that it's to good to be true and they are scamming you for money. Even if your bank accepts the check about 7 days later it will deny it and your bank account can be negative by thousands of dollars. They will try everything to get you to send them money as fast as possible because of this. Be aware! You work hard for your money, don't let people do this to you!!!
I have received calls from these people for the past couple of weeks. They call about my "windows computer" and tell me to make sure it is on. They jabber nonsense responses and when I tell then I don't own a Windows computer, they hang up.
Call from this number at 5pm. Woman with Indian accent stated she was from Microsoft and my Windows 8 computer had been hacked. She assured me it was "OK now if I provide her some information." I responded that I don't have a Windows computer and she hung up. I tried to call the number back but the call will not go thru. Caller ID says the number is from Minneapolis,MN.
Received two calls form 201-374-8004 today, told the gal that I would call Microsoft on Monday to ask them about the claim that my computer need fixed, she really got upset and I hung up. The second call came in and my husband told the man {this time} that he had gotten rid of his computer and he hung up. This call came in from Dumont NJ.
