Company's such as this buy unpaid balances from other company's for penny's on the dollar in hopes they can persuade you to pay the whole amount. When they intimidate a person into paying the original amount, since they only paid penny's on the dollar, they make a substantial profit. These are not legitimate company's so to speak. They have absolutely no collection authority. Most of the time, the debt they are attempting to collect, the original company has settled the debt or the remaining balance is or was a write off. These companies calling and harassing people are nothing more that scam artist's attempting to make easy money through intimidation. There are laws to protect you, and these less than desirable people have to follow a fine line within the law. I have read previous account above, of the phone number 201-968-0327 as being from Kramer and Associates....They called my phone with the same phone number 201-968-0327, but call themselves Trunk Group 201.
Just received a call from these same idiots! The callers name was Rhonda and matter was regarding some kind "appearance notification" or else It would be sent to my residing State for further legal matters! So glad these people have nothing better to do then prank/scam their fellow citizen....especially at this time of the year! Where have the morals, customer service and integrity gone within companies....and/or just humanity today? How sad is that?
My home has been recieving calls from Kramer and Associates for my fiance who does not even use that number. He uses his cell so I was confused as to why these people were calling me! Kramer and Associates (201-968-0327) is a con and I want to know where I can report them so actions can be taken against them.
