Received a call today from this number also. Also sounded like a middle-eastern man on a fuzzy line. Asked for a person who, as far as I know, has never had our phone number (although we've received wrong calls for her in the past).
A previous commenter mentioned that this mystery number seemed to be related to legit calls they were making and recieving-- and I think that might be so. I never get calls- thats why I found it strange that this number rang a few times- then before i could pick it up a real call from my distant relatives came through. Really odd. Same thing- when I finally called it back it said disconnected- i am wondering "Could the callers accent be so thick because they are not really living in Washington- rather they may be hacking into the line from a foreign country- via internet --?" sounds like phone hackers to me-- and foriegn one/s- maybe using a computor
also- i will add- that if u all think it is not hurtin you- cause they simply dont leave a message on your machine- it doesnt make sense- they wouldnt call you and go to your machine for nothing-- it could be they are hacking into your voicemail on your phone- using a computor to break your phones security code-- thus obtaining personal info about you-- id keep an eye on your phone messages if i was you-
Just received a call from this number, showing up as WASHINGTON on my Caller ID. I did not answer the phone. It was the third call in maybe two-three minutes that was unknown and I do not answer them EVER. I come here, look it up, and report my own personal experience. Now that I have caller ID, I have disabled my answering machine. My family knows if I do not answer, either I am not home, or something is wrong so they will call my neighbor (I'm elderly). I just never give them the pleasure of hearing my voice. Eventually they stop calling. If it is the middle of the night, or really early in the morning, once I look at the ID and see that it's an unknown caller, I immediately pick up the phone and then hang up the receiver to disconnect the call. Do that quickly enough, it appears as a disconnect!
this number is not a telemarkter. this is premier bank. they keep calling my home for someone that doesn't live here. i will start tape recording them each time and then i will report them. you can tell them to stop harrassing you but they tell you they'll do want they want.
