Received a call today from this number also. Also sounded like a middle-eastern man on a fuzzy line. Asked for a person who, as far as I know, has never had our phone number (although we've received wrong calls for her in the past).
Same as several above. I got a call from this number on my cel while I was in conference. No message was left and when I tried to return the call the number was "dis-connected of not in service".
I think these guys represent real menace if they can fake the caller ID like that.
I received a recorded message stating 'you now qualify for a lower interest rate on your credit card. press 1, to speak with an operator or 2, to disconnect. I just pressed two. No company was identified.
Just recieved a call from this number, but before that i recieved an unavalible call. The unavalible call I answered and they did not say anything and hung up after 21 seconds. Then 10mins later I got a call from the 206 number the same thing happened i answered and said hello once, they didn't say a word and hung up after 22 seconds.
Got a call today for my husband from this number. Claimed they were from the government finance and treasury department and that my husband had been selected to receive a $7000 grant as part of a stimulus package. I asked all kinds of information and I think the woman got a bit frustrated because I wouldn't give her my bank account number (she had a heavy middle-eastern accent). She said she was calling from the Hubert building in Washington, DC but my caller ID said Seattle. When I questioned her on this, she feigned ignorance. Total scam!
