I also got a call like that and I though it might be true, but them they started to ask all this question in relation to who I was, if I had a credit card, and if I had money to sell the grant. I told them I was not interested and the the thing was that they were saying that I couldn't tell anyone until the "application" was complete.
Thank you for posting. It was pretty clear to me it was a scam. They are also calling me from 415-866-4109. Plan on reporting both numbers. When I called number the gentleman wanted me to verify my name, I told him to tell me what he was calling about. When I would not verify he told me I was being rude, and I told him I was an attorney and I would be reporting him.
